Can you all believe it’s August 30 and almost Labor Day? With fall approaching, I thought I’d do a quick little series: 4 for fall (nice aliteration, right?) I’ll go through 4 different wardrobe pieces I think are worth considering adding for fall – this week it’s flats! I haven’t really been much of a flat girl in recent years – I much prefer the slimming look heels give my legs – but you can’t deny the comfort of flats, and as long as they have a little heel to them, I think I can get behind them!
I really love the Everlane loafers – I saw a woman at home wearing them with a shirtdress and she just looked so chic! The price point is a little higher than I’d normally pay, but these are flats I would wear season after season. And because I like to elongate my legs, I prefer a pointed toe over a rounded toe. I actually just realized every flat shown has a pointed toe!
I also am digging the mule flat look – I love the Vince ones, but since this seems to be a little more of a trend piece, I’d start with the ones shown below. And okay, those cap toe shoes from Zara aren’t EXACTLY a flat, but for me it’s pretty close so I threw them in. They are under $40 and I really don’t think you can beat that.
I’m still on the fence with the lace up look – I think they look great when I see them on other people, but I’m self conscious about my athletic calves and tend not to wear anything that cuts off my ankle for that reason. But they are super cute and most certainly on trend for fall.
What are you looking to add to your closet? Any of these flats?
